Governor to Make State Safe for Shampooers

GOVERNOR TO SIGN BILL TO BRING A LITTLE COMMON SENSE TO REGULATIONS, HIGHLIGHT MORE WACKY GOVERNMENT EDICTS

Columbia, S.C. - May 13, 2008 - Shampooers of South Carolina will rejoice tomorrow as Governor Mark Sanford signs a law removing the legal requirement that anyone performing that service receive 1,500 hours of state mandated training.

You read that right. Fifteen hundred hours. To shampoo someone.

During the bill signing, the governor will highlight a number of other wacky South Carolina edicts that will leave you scratching (or even legally shampooing) your head as to why these laws are in place, and the ridiculous amount of time spent changing them incrementally.

The bill signing and news conference will be held tomorrow (Wednesday, May 14) at 11:00 a.m. at La Spalon (715 Gervais Street) in downtown Columbia.
