Governor Sanford to Sign Incentives Legislation

BILL PAVES WAY FOR LARGEST JOBS AND INVESTMENT ANNOUNCEMENT IN STATE HISTORY

Columbia, S.C. - October 29, 2009 - Gov. Sanford tomorrow (Friday, October 30) will sign legislation passed earlier this week by the General Assembly paving the way for Boeing - the aeronautics giant - to expand their existing South Carolina operations and put a new production facility in North Charleston.

Joining the governor will be state and local elected officials, Commerce Secretary Joe Taylor, and those from the region who were instrumental in the process, ranging from people like David Ginn and Heyward Horton with the Charleston Regional Development Alliance to Economic Developer Steve Dykes and David Jennings from the Charleston County Aviation Authority.
